Under Way With The 50z

Once you’ve cruised at 35 knots on a windless day to make passages like American Yacht Club in Rye down the East River, around Jersey through the C&D canal to Annapolis YC in 7.5 hours you’ll never be happy with a slow boat again. And why should you? Fuel efficiency comparison among 48-55 foot boats shows the triple IPS 50z getting mileage at 35 knots comparable to others at 28-30 knots.
Apart from faster performance, the MJM 50z is responsive to the lightest touch on the wheel and the underbody shape allows the boat to ride atop the rough stuff providing a soft, stable ride while the subtle Carolina bow flare keeps it dry. Comfort is further enhanced by a standard Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, the DPS geostationary hold feature and the ease of joystick docking (watch here). The 50z’s flush deck layout with full cockpit bimini (you can run with up at 35 knots) allows you to enjoy the company of friends and family while running and keep your eye on the youngest ones, too.
Go with the confidence of ISO CE Category A Ocean Certification, the most demanding standard in the world.
