Introducing the All-New MJM 38V

Designed to Stand Apart

There are yachts that impress you because of what they do, and there are yachts that make you look twice before you know a single specification. The all-new MJM 38V was designed to do both.

As the first model in MJM’s new V-Series, the 38V introduces a more expressive side of MJM. Its long, clean profile, sculpted hardtop and open-air character give it a presence that feels immediately different, yet unmistakably connected to the brand. It is sophisticated without being overly formal, contemporary without chasing trends, and designed for owners who care as much about how a yacht feels as how it performs.

Details matter: The curve of arch on hardtop and the curve at the transom

That distinction matters because the 38V is not simply about getting somewhere quickly. It is about the experience once you are there: friends spread comfortably throughout the boat, an afternoon that turns into dinner without anyone wanting to leave, and the freedom to use the yacht in a way that feels natural rather than prescribed. A Design That Changes the Personality of the Boat

The first thing most people will notice is the silhouette. The 38V trades the more traditional visual language of a pilothouse cruiser for a sleek, sculpted hardtop and integrated glass system that give the yacht a decidedly contemporary stance.

But the design is about more than appearance. Electrically controlled forward windows open the helm area to the breeze when the weather is right, while the hardtop and surrounding glass retain the sense of protection and comfort MJM owners expect. The result is a yacht that can feel wonderfully open on a summer afternoon without sacrificing the ability to settle into a more protected environment when conditions change.

The Luxury of Having Room

Perhaps the biggest surprise aboard the 38V is how much of the boat is devoted simply to enjoying the day.

There is extended seating in the aft cockpit, generous seating forward and storage tucked beneath the bow seats and throughout the yacht. Rather than forcing everyone into one primary social area, the layout creates different places to gather. A couple can settle forward while another group relaxes aft; someone can stay near the helm without feeling removed from the conversation. The boat feels social without feeling crowded.

That changes the character of a day on the water. There is room for people, but also room for all the things that come with them. Bags, towels, provisions and gear have places to disappear. A moveable high-gloss table with exotic wood inlay can be positioned where it is needed, and the entertaining area includes a stone countertop, recessed sink, wine chiller and drawer refrigerator.

An Interior That Feels Considered, Not Decorated

The 38V also introduces a more refined interior point of view.

MJM has always been associated with purposeful design, but the V-Series pushes further into the details that shape how a yacht feels. Wood is used deliberately. Upholstery is tailored rather than overly plush. Surfaces feel substantial and carefully selected. The goal is not to overwhelm the eye with luxury cues, but to create an environment that feels elevated the longer you spend aboard.

Two interior directions help owners make the yacht more personal. Crème pairs eggshell upholstery with warm tan-toned accents, while Pebble combines white upholstery with deeper gray tones. Both are complemented by ebony wood accents, giving the interior a contemporary character while keeping the palette quiet and enduring.

Below, an enclosed head with a stone countertop, sink and vanity cabinetry adds genuine comfort, while the starboard cuddy cabin provides useful private space and additional storage. These are not accommodations intended to turn the 38V into something it is not. Instead, they extend the possibilities of the boat—making a long day easier, giving guests privacy and allowing an unplanned afternoon to stretch comfortably into evening.

The Engineering Is Still Very Much MJM

It would be easy to focus entirely on the 38V’s new styling, but underneath it is a construction philosophy that will be familiar to anyone who knows MJM.

The hull is vacuum-infused and post-cured using epoxy composite construction with biaxial E-glass and closed-cell foam core. The modified deep-V hull combines a sharp entry with a 19.5-degree deadrise and a relatively slender 3.8:1 length-to-beam ratio. In practical terms, MJM is using sophisticated materials and hull geometry to create a boat that is strong without carrying unnecessary weight. The 38V is also engineered to ISO Category B Offshore standards.

Standard propulsion is provided by twin Mercury Verado V8 300 HP outboards, paired with Mercury joystick steering, Skyhook and autopilot. Owners looking for more performance can select twin Mercury 425 HP V10 Verados.

Yes, with available power the 38V is capable of serious speed. But that number is more meaningful when considered alongside the rest of the boat. Performance gives an owner more range in how a day can unfold—an early run to a favorite harbor, lunch somewhere that once felt just a little too far away, or enough time to make one more stop before heading home.

That is a much more interesting reason to build a fast yacht.
